Omega Hipster Slaw Salad

Coleslaw hipster style

A good Australian classic with a modern healthy twist.

You'll need:

  • 1 Tbs raspberry vinegar
  • 1 Tbs whole-grain mustard
  • 1 Tbs raw honey or coconut nectar
  • 1 Tbs Sunflower Oil
  • 2 Tbs Walnut Oil
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 cups finely shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups finely shredded raw brussels sprouts
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced crosswise
  • 1/4 cup snipped chives, parsley and or coriander
  • hemp seeds


  1. In a jar, shake the vinegar, whole-grain mustard, honey or coconut nectar, oils, salt and pepper together for the dressing.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the shredded cabbage, shredded Brussels sprouts, carrot, onion and dressing.
  3. Toss well.
  4. Refrigerate until chilled, about 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer to a medium bowl then sprinkle with hemp seeds to serve.
